While there are standard weapons for a lot of the troops in Star Wars, some don't. Also, it is good to have a wide selection of weapons able to be dropped and upgrades to choose from. Post any ideas for weapons that you would like included in the mod.Post atleast: - Name: [The guns name/designation]
- Weapon Type: [Pistol, Carbine, Rifle, Sniper Rifle, Grenade Rocket Launcher, etc.]
- Theoretical Effectiveness: [Pretty much any credible stats/info about the gun you can find]
- Faction: [Imperial, Rebel, or Both]

Ok, does everyone agree that we should go about replacing existing CoH Units with their Star Wars equivalent? In other words, the storm trooper would replace the volks or gren squad units in the game, the rebel trooper would replace the "rifleman" squad for the Americans.
I think we should start by modeling/texturing, importing the standard infantry for both factions, and more from there.
So the first one since we have already started..
Name: E-11 Weapon Type: Rifle Theoretical: Standard infantry rifle for Imperial Army. ie. replaces a volks or gren squad rifle.

Yeah definitely. It will keep things much more organized and help us maintain the balance. I'm gonna stay working on weapons for now, mostly since I don't even have all the tools working yet and can't even implement anything.
Anyway--
Name: DLT-20a Weapon Type: Sniper Rifle Theoretical: Commonly used by both imperial scouts and rebel soldiers, the DLT-20a maintains a consistency with its accuracy and range. Faction: Both

Name: DLT-20 Heavy Blaster Rifle Weapon Type: Heavy Repeating Blaster (LMG in coh terms lol) Theoretical Effectiveness: Similar in effectiveness to the LMG 42 in CoH Faction: Imperial, but can be dropped
Basically, a heavily modified MG42 (or FG42 if we want to avoid similarities to the DLT-18, the one seen in the star wars movie)

you could also get some inspiration from the BF 2142 mod The First Strike, as they have a good layout for the kits and many different weapons.
