I've started working on actually trying to change the RGD file values for engineers (as recommended by the mod tutorial), but even if I hit save and try to run the game from the mod studio, nothing changes. The screenshot attached shows how I'm editing the file. I'm running both the mod studio and the game on admin settings, and have checked the "run in dev mode" box. Am I doing something wrong? Or does the mod studio not work with Gold Edition? Attachments:

Did you extract it to the folder? Also, are you sure you have your complete setup established? Don't use "run in dev" mode, it doesn't really work. Make a new shortcut and add this to the end : -dev -mod Imperial_Reign
Of course, your repository might go by a different name, but it would be best to use "Imperial Reign."

Alright, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but this is it verbatim:
1. Start up mod editor with admin priviliges 2. Choose to load CoH/OF mod 3. Choose to load Imperial_Reign.module, mod folder is Imperial_Reign 4. Edit RGD file, i.e. attrib->etc.->engineer_infantry 5. Set max to 5, num to 4 6. Click Save 7. Right-click on RGD file 8. Extract (tells me it's already extracted) 9. Run RelicCoH shortcut with target:
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -modname Imperial_Reign
Also tried target:
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -modname Imperial_Reign -dev
Tried to play skirmish; engineers still come in squads of 3. Also tried with riflemen and panzer elite units. No dice.
Am I supposed to extract ALL files or just the ones I overwrite? I am confused.

Hmm, did you follow the mod setup directions to the letter. It was sort of a mess for me as well, it's kinda the nature of the tools at this point. Do you have pipeline.ini setup as well? Also, if you haven't already: forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=211262&page=1&If everything is set up correctly, this should work. Just make sure to follow everything it says closely even if you already have, check it again, cause I missed a few things myself the first time.

Just let me know of anything you need. I got in a car accident this past week, driving with my friends to a show. I'm really sorry, but a broken left arm and 15 stitches on my right hand, I'll be out of commission for some time, hell I typed this with 2 fingers :/. If you guys want, I will upload the texture files so you have something to go on till I heal.
