Hey everybody! I was taking a peak around your forums and saw that you didn't have a direct comparison yet as to what unit equals what star wars unit. So I thought I would take a little bit to post a transformation concept.
Empire (wehrmacht) first.
Garrison Barracks (Wehrmacht Quarters)
Motorbike=74-Z Speeder bike
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/74-Z_speeder_bike Iconic really.
Sniper = Well Stormtrooper sniper
MG42= heavy weapons team armed with... starwars.wikia.com/wiki/E-Web_heavy_repeating_blaster
Volksgrenadiers =army troopers ,http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Army_trooper
MP40's,http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/BlasTech_light_repeating_blaster
Security Battalion (Kriegs Barracks)
Pak38 = I couldn't find a direct transformation for this one best I can come up with is the bp.4 anti vehicle turret but it is more of a big laser in a building than a AT gun so maybe their engineers could construct it like the brits do 17 pounders.
Halftrack = Easiest conversion is the Imperial troop transport. the uprgrades would get tricky though...for the flames you just add flames it isn't cannon but who cares... for the rockets you could add concussion missile launchers again not a perfect fit but
Mortar = Grenadiers, best I could find is the rebel grenadier but I don't see why having the same unit on both sides would be a problem... linky starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rebel_mortar_trooper
Grenadiers =stormtroopers equipable with a rocket launcher and/or a heavy repeater starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_shock_trooper
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Heavy_repeating_blaster
Mobile Corps (Sturm Armory)
Stug IV= Tie Crawler, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TIE_Crawler
Puma = An AT-ST could fit well here but if the walking thing is strange a ULAV could work... starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ultra-Light_Assault_Vehicle
Nebelwerfer = mobile artillery platform, its a little different but could work starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mobile_artillery
Officer= field commander, easy peasy ;D
Armor Corps (Panzer command)
Panther = S-1 Firehawk, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/S-1_FireHawke_Heavy_Repulsortank
PZ IV = 2-M Repulsor tank ,http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/2-M_repulsortank
OstWind = At-AA ,http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/AT-AA
Knights cross holders = either 501st or Shocktroopers
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_shock_trooper
MP44'shttp://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_Heavy_Repeater
HQ.
Engineers = Engineers really no change, they are stormtroopers though.
Kampfcraft
works the same, couldn't think of a name
I don't know what you are planning on for doctrines so I won't bother with those.
Rebels (America)
Underground recruiter (Barracks)
Riflemen= Rebel trooper,http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rebel_trooper
Jeep= Flare-s Swoop, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Flare-S_swoop Or starwars.wikia.com/wiki/PDT-8_Personnel_Deployment_Transport
Gun runners (Weapon Support)
MG= MKII repeating cannon, more boom than MG but should fill the role, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mark_II_medium_repeating_blaster_cannon
Mortar= See above.
Sniper = Rebel Marksmen, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Marksmen - scroll down
Smuggling ( Supply yard)
Sector support ( Motor Pool)
Greyhound = maybe this, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/T2-B_repulsor_tank
M3 halftrack = ISP Speeder, starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Infantry_Support_Platform
57 MM = Again not really a direct comparison probably just a turret.
Full support ( Tank Depot)
M10 = probably this starwars.wikia.com/wiki/All_Terrain_Attack_Pod it would operate more like the PE's marder than the m10 though.
Crocodile/sherman= probably this just because of its modular weapons systems. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rebel_Armored_Freerunner
